Malaysia

Malaysia plays host to an amazingly diverse range of scuba destinations. From diving with more turtles than you can imagine in Sipadan Island to the pristine coral atoll and hammerhead sharks in Layang Layang. You can find migrating whale sharks around Lankayan and macro diving in Mabul, Kapalai and Mataking islands. Most of the Malaysian dive resorts are situated on the islands of Sabah which are fringed with white sand beaches and coconut trees – a beautiful setting to complement the excellent diving.

Sipidan Water Village

Sipadan Water Village is a resort beautifully constructed with Bajau architectural design. Part of the Mabul Island is also home to groups of Bajau fishermen who have built their traditional palm thatched houses. The entire resort is built over water on stilts. In its design, Sipadan Water Village has achieved near utopia in its over-the-water layout, splendid water cottage accommodations with flowered sidewalks. Sipadan Water Village international staffs of dive guides and instructors pride themselves on knowing the intricacies of their reefs and willing to share their macro subject secrets with anyone interested.
