Your adventure begins in Northern Mozambique at a secluded eco-lodge on a private beach at the entrance of Nacala Bay. Surrounded by indigenous forest and a protected coral reef, this tropical retreat offers exceptional snorkeling and diving along the famous “Coral Coast.” From colourful macro life and pristine reefs to wall dives, wrecks and night dives on the house reef, the area around Baixe do Pinda is considered some of the most diverse diving in Mozambique. Above water, guests can enjoy rich birdlife, unique wildlife and the unspoiled beauty of this remote coastline.
The journey continues to Johannesburg, the dynamic gateway to Southern Africa. This vibrant city offers cultural highlights, fascinating history, excellent museums, diverse cuisine and world-class shopping, with nearby Soweto providing powerful insight into South Africa’s past.
The trip concludes on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, where rolling landscapes and renowned game reserves offer the chance to encounter Africa’s iconic Big Five. With spectacular scenery, exceptional conservation areas and outstanding birdlife, this region combines thrilling safari experiences with beautiful Indian Ocean beaches.

Day 1: Nacala
After a flight from Johannesburg to Nacala, you will be welcomed at Nacala Airport with a meet and greet, followed by a scenic one-hour road transfer to Ossimba Lodge, where a refreshing welcome drink awaits before checking in and settling into your tropical surroundings.
Day 2 - 6: Nacala
Enjoy two spectacular dives per day along the pristine reefs of Nacala Bay, where warm Indian Ocean waters reveal vibrant coral gardens and an incredible diversity of marine life. Explore dramatic wall dives, fascinating wrecks and colourful reef systems teeming with tropical fish, turtles, moray eels and an abundance of macro life — a true paradise for underwater photographers. After returning to the lodge around lunchtime, the afternoon is yours to unwind on the secluded beach, soak up the tropical surroundings or simply relax and prepare for another unforgettable day beneath the surface.
Day 7: Nacala
Free day to explore the area and book some extra activities.
Day 8: Johannesburg
After departing Ossimba Beach Lodge, you will transfer to Nacala Airport for your flight to Johannesburg, where upon arrival you can simply walk across to the City Lodge to spend a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 9: KwaZulu Natal Game Reserves
After breakfast, you walk across from the City Lodge to the Domestic Departures terminal for your flight to Durban. Upon arrival at Durban Airport, you will be welcomed with meet and greet services before continuing by road transfer to Bayala Game Reserve.
Time permitting, there is the option to enjoy a two-hour boat cruise in the St Lucia National Park to spot hippos and crocodiles, or alternatively join a two-hour educational tour featuring cheetahs and other wild cats.
You will then arrive at Bayala in time to check in and head out on your afternoon game drive, where your safari experience truly begins.
Day 10 - 11: KwaZulu Natal Game Reserves
Rise early for an exhilarating morning game drive through the diverse landscapes of the KwaZulu-Natal game reserves, when the bush is alive with activity and predators are often still on the move. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you’ll track wildlife across rolling hills and open plains, with the chance to encounter the iconic Big Five as well as giraffe, zebra and abundant antelope species.
After some time to relax during the heat of the day, venture out again in the late afternoon for another thrilling game drive. As the sun sets over the African bush, the scenery transforms in golden light and nocturnal animals begin to emerge, creating a truly magical safari experience.
Day 12: End of Itinerary
After an early morning game drive in the reserve, you will depart for your road transfer to Durban Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable journey.
